Michal Fus, Principal Partner

Michal Fus is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of experience in the legal field. A graduate of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Michal began his career in 2005 at a boutique law firm focused on bankruptcy matters. He later advanced to a Fortune 500 corporation, where he managed complex, multi‑million‑dollar lease agreements on behalf of a major telecommunications company.
Michal brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight to his clients. His practice encompasses Transportation, Bankruptcy, Real Estate, and Foreclosures, with a reputation for meticulous advocacy and strategic problem‑solving.

Dmitri Kachan, Managing Partner

Dmitri is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law. During law school, he represented clients in Department of Children and Family Services proceedings, advocating for parents seeking to preserve their parental rights.
After graduating, Dmitri joined the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office, rising from law clerk to courtroom supervisor. In that capacity, he managed a broad range of complex criminal matters — including assaults, batteries, DUI charges, criminal sexual abuse cases, and assisted in murder investigations and prosecutions. During his tenure, Dmitri handled hundreds of thousands of cases and actively participated in hundreds of hearings and trials, developing significant courtroom, investigative, and litigation skills.
In private practice, Dmitri represents a diverse spectrum of clients, from national insurance companies and transportation brokers to motor carriers and everyday drivers. His practice includes advising transportation companies on regulatory compliance, insurance disputes, and FMCSA matters, as well as handling commercial and residential real estate transactions. In recent years, Dmitri and his firm have led multimillion-dollar real estate development projects throughout the Chicagoland suburbs.
Dmitri also maintains a strong focus on Criminal and Traffic Law, drawing on his prosecutorial experience and passion for litigation. He is an active member of the Transportation Lawyers Association and concentrates his practice in the areas of Contracts, Transportation Law, Compliance, Insurance Law, Real Estate, Family Law, and Criminal Defense.

Anna Bodrug, Sr. Paralegal

Anna began her career in the legal industry as a Safety Manager with Safety Experts and Consulting Inc., where she played a significant role in developing safety practices and implementing regulatory compliance protocols for carriers throughout the United States. Her work included advising motor carriers on evolving industry standards and assisting in the adoption of policies that enhanced operational safety across diverse fleets.
She later transitioned into claims handling as a Claims Representative with CRC Transport, managing a wide range of freight-related claims. In that role, Anna gained valuable experience evaluating claim validity, coordinating with carriers and insurers, and navigating the complexities of freight liability.
Building on this foundation, Anna entered the legal profession as a Junior Paralegal with Consumer Attorneys. There, she focused on document review, case analysis, and client support. She assisted attorneys with case management, legal research, and claim evaluation, becoming a trusted resource for both clients and counsel.
Anna now serves as Senior Paralegal at Chicago Legal Solutions, LLP. In this role, she supervises junior paralegals and provides critical support to the firm’s attorneys across multiple practice areas, including traffic law, criminal defense, transportation compliance, bankruptcy, real estate, and immigration. Her multidisciplinary background, strong analytical skills, and commitment to efficient case management make her an integral part of the firm’s legal operations.
Anna is a graduate of the State University of Moldova, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philology with a concentration in Translation, Interpretation, and Applied Linguistics. She is multilingual, speaking German, English, Russian, Romanian, and Italian, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
In her personal time, Anna enjoys reading classical literature, practicing hot yoga, and pursuing a variety of other interests that support her professional and personal growth.

Mario Mella, Of Counsel

As a former Asylum Officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Mario adjudicated complex asylum applications, conducted affirmative asylum interviews, and performed comprehensive legal research to assess applicants' eligibility. Prior to this role, he served as a pro bono staff attorney at various nonprofit organizations in California, where he prepared U-Visa, T-Visa, and VAWA petitions, and drafted immigration filings to advocate for vulnerable applicants.
Beyond legal practice, Mario has also contributed to ethical oversight in research. As a Non-Affiliated Member of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at San Carlos Lab Corp, he ensures compliance with federal and institutional regulations, providing an external perspective on ethical treatment and humane practices in animal research.

Richard Sexner, Of Counsel

Attorney Richard E. Sexner began his practice over three decades ago with a steadfast commitment to helping individuals stand up against powerful entities. Recognizing that individuals often lack the resources that large corporations possess, he has dedicated his career to advocating for justice on behalf of regular people.

Richard is an honors graduate of Northwestern University and holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has also completed the Negotiations Program at Harvard Business School.
